Excellent dive training and a fantastic fun dive at the end - Together with my spouse we obtained PADI Open Water Diver certificates during a week-long intensive course with Arrecifal. Peter is a great teacher who encouraged us, adjusted the course schedule... Leer más to our requirements and made sure we learn all the required skills. He is also a great company and a very nice person! The centre has all the equipment you may need as a beginner. Peter was also very helpful w/r to activities during our rest periods and helped us sort out a parking space problem 😉 We could contact him on WhatsApp practically any time during the day when we had a problem. While resting between or after the dives we could warm ourselves with mint tea and meet some of the centre's resident cats.
The second instructor we dived with (Jeff) is a very nice person too, with a big sense of humour.

The course initially takes place in the La Restinga harbour (confined water), which is an interesting place on its own. This means that already on the first dive of your life you have a chance to see some marine wildlife - we saw young barracidas, a cuttlefish and a green turtle, among others. The final dives take place in the marine reserve, which is a water paradise teeming with exotic life! Highly recommended for anyone interested in scuba diving.

Great experience for a first-time diver - My husband and I went diving at Arrecifal Dive Center in September of 2021. It was my first time diving, my husband already had his Open Water Diver. I originally... Leer más signed up for the Open Water Diver, but then found that I just wasn't comfortable doing one praticular exercise and didn't know if I wanted to ever dive independently. On my first day, Lou (I hope I got the name right) was my instructor. On my second, Damiana was my instructor. My husband needed a little refresher, so he joined us. Both were incredibly patient, but Damiana is truly a saint. She exudes such warmth. Even though I was getting really frustrated and wasn't sure diving was for me, she made me feel safe and tried to find a way that worked for me. She's funny, patient, and such a gem! On the third day I went diving in the ocean for the first time. I'm so glad I went through with it as it was a wonderful experience. We even briefly went into a little cave. My husband and I saw turtles, trumpetfish, sea slugs, all sorts of other fish. On his second dive, which I didn't join, my husband saw a manta ray and a sting ray. I felt like the school and instructors really made sure everyone was following the safety rules and still fostered a fun learning environment + made the dives fun. I cannot recommend Arrecifal highly enough and am glad to have chosen them to learn diving!

Best dive week ever - Great visibility, lots of fish, arches,volcanic rock structures, ledges with moray eels, rays,tuna, puffer fish, trigger fish, trumpet fish and amber sharks to name a few. Fun diving with a... Leer más clear brief and a great emphasis on safety. Damiana, Julian and Dudu make a great team. They are fun and really helpful. The equipment is well maintained and in great condition. The boat rides to the sites were fast and fun too. There is easy access to the boat and everything was made easy for us. We felt the team really helped our diving progress. This really is a fantastic company.

As part of our projects on marine conservation, team members of Innoceana, went diving with Arrecifal. The whole Arrecifal team was friendly and highly professional (with all the securtity measures... Leer más that apply). Above all, they demonstrated their preoccupation towards the environment, not only having always an eye on trash and fishing lines that threaten marine life, but also by their interest in collaborating in our projects.
We went diving with them in El Salto, a site full of caves, crevices and amazing volcanic lanscape which is, for sure, a place that we recommend to visit.
The dive centre is spacious and has all the adequate facilities for diving in the area (including the boat and the transport of equipment to the dive centre).

Excellent dive centre - We visited La Restinga in December for a couple of days of scuba diving. My wife has had ear damage in the past years and we had put our diving... The team from Arrecifal was very friendly and helpful, and the refresher course we did was extremely helpful compared to previous experience. When my wife had issues during the first ocean dive and we decided to discontinue our diving, the team was very supportive and understanding. Hopefully we can get back to diving one day, in which case we'll definitely return to Arrecifal.

Definitely worth diving with this team - We have just spent a week diving with Arrecifal. Peter is an excellent guide and teacher; patient, calm, knowledgeable, and very thorough in his training. He is also enormously helpful,... Leer más sorting out an apartment and car hire before we arrived, and giving great tips on where to go on the island when you're not underwater. Selman and Jeff are also great guides, and very patient with those of us with less experience. We enjoyed all the dives, particularly the night dive in the harbour with the Atlantic Stingray. Diving with the team is great fun, and there is an amazing array of sites available from Las Restinga. Thanks guys.
